Aurora

Aurora was painted in 2016 for a solo exhibition in Nerja (southern Spain). I used brushes and a pallet knife, but I also incorporated some glitter into the artwork. You will only notice this when the light falls on the painting from a certain angle, giving a mysterious feel to the artwork. I also like to depit my angels rather sensually. I usually mix my paints directly on the canvas and I never look for perfection. I search for the perfection within the imperfection. I really enjoyed the mystique of painting Angels, which made me decide to create 33 smaller paintings, for an Angel oracle card deck, these are quirky images of Angels with a special message. This painting comes framed in a soft green wooden frame, but can be sold without a frame. I have not used a model as I paint from my imagination. I encourage the viewer to perceive an atmosphere, and I invite the them to watch my art with their intuition. If the work speaks to them, then my story is no longer relevant, it becomes the story of the viewer.
