LH Bull

LH bull 60 x 80 x 3 cm.  This is an acrylic painting of a bull, (toro) symbol of Spain, the land of mountains and sea, where I currently live! This bull is part of a series of bull paintings. I like to paint friendly Spanish bulls and have created them with an intention in mind. A positive intention, you could say a blessing for the person who will become the owner of this painting, this blessing is incorporated into the painting, but not immediately obvious. I like to work quite rough and use both brushes and palet knives. I'm never looking for perfection but always for the energy of colours in combination with an image. I always work in series, and this time, in the year of the ‘ox’ I’ve decided I felt drawn to create some bull paintings.
